Our Services

Specialized Workforce & Transition Services

What we do —
and who it's for.
Every service we offer is built around one goal: helping students discover their strengths, prepare for the workforce, and step into employment with confidence. Whether you are a parent exploring options or a counselor placing a student, you'll find what you need below.

Transition & pre-employment
Services that prepare students ages 13–31 for the world of work — building the skills, self-knowledge, and plans they'll need to succeed.

Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)

State-funded · Ages 13–21
A state-funded program providing eligible students with disabilities the foundational skills they need before entering the workforce or postsecondary education. Pre-ETS covers five core areas: job exploration, work-based learning, counseling on postsecondary options, workplace readiness, and self-advocacy. Available at no cost to qualifying families through the Texas Workforce Commission.
Work Readiness & Career Exploration

Students explore a range of career fields, discover what interests and motivates them, and build the foundational workplace skills employers expect — punctuality, communication, professional conduct, and problem-solving. We help students answer the question: what do I want to do, and what will it take to get there?

Career Assessment & Planning

Through structured assessments and one-on-one conversations, we identify each student's strengths, interests, and learning style — then build a realistic, individualized career plan. For counselors: assessments align with VR planning requirements and are documented for transition planning purposes.

Postsecondary Education Counseling

Not every path leads directly to employment — some students will benefit from college, vocational training, or certificate programs first. We help students and families understand their postsecondary options, navigate the application process, identify disability support services, and choose the path that fits their goals and strengths.

Hands-on support for students entering the workforce — from their first job placement through long-term retention.

Vocational Adjustment Training

Bridges the gap between classroom preparation and real-world employment. Students develop the adaptive skills required to succeed in a work environment — managing schedules, responding to feedback, navigating workplace relationships, and adjusting to the physical and social demands of a job.
Work Experience Placement & Training

Students gain real, supervised work experience with employers in their area of interest. We identify placement sites, prepare students before they begin, and provide structured support throughout. Work experience builds a résumé, develops job-specific skills, and — often — leads directly to paid employment.

Job Coaching

Once a student is placed in employment, a job coach provides on-site support to help them learn their role, meet employer expectations, and build independence over time. Support is gradually reduced as the student grows more confident — the goal is always self-sufficiency, not permanent dependence.

Supported Employment

For students who need ongoing support to maintain competitive, integrated employment, Supported Employment provides long-term assistance — coordinating with employers, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring the student continues to thrive in their role. Follows established VR supported employment guidelines.
Personal & social development
The skills that make employment sustainable — self-awareness, communication, advocacy, and the confidence to show up fully.

Self-Advocacy Training

Students learn to understand their own disability, communicate their needs clearly, request appropriate accommodations, and speak up for themselves in school, work, and life. Self-advocacy is one of the strongest predictors of long-term employment success — and one of the most underdeveloped skills in transition-age youth.

Personal Social Adjustment Training

Helps students develop the interpersonal and emotional skills that employment demands — reading social cues, managing emotions in professional settings, building relationships with colleagues, and adapting their communication style to different situations. These are the skills that determine whether a student keeps the job they worked so hard to get.
Autism Support Services

Individualized support designed specifically for students on the autism spectrum, addressing sensory considerations, communication styles, executive function, and social integration in the workplace. Our approach is strengths-based — we start with what each student does well and build from there.

School & employer partnerships
Services delivered in schools and workplaces — bringing transition support directly to where students already are.

In-School Educational Services

Transition and employment preparation delivered directly within the school setting, in coordination with teachers, special education staff, and counselors. Services integrate with existing IEP and transition planning to reinforce goals and reduce the gap between school and the workforce.
Employer Disability Compliance Training

We work with employers to build inclusive, ADA-compliant workplaces that are genuinely ready to hire and retain employees with disabilities. Training covers accommodation best practices, legal obligations, communication strategies, and how to recognize and develop the strengths disability can bring to a team.

Summer & Winter Intensive Programs

Immersive, focused programs offered during school breaks that accelerate progress on career readiness, social skills, and employment preparation. Intensives are ideal for students who benefit from dedicated time away from the academic calendar to focus entirely on their transition goals.
